Laid off staff from airline company SAS give support to the Swedish healthcare system

In March 2020, Swedish airline Scandinavian Airlines – SAS announced the temporary layoff of more than 10,000 employees due to a coronavirus pandemic. However, the company is relocating these employees to work with Sweden’s healthcare system. Through a partnership with Ambea, a proven healthcare leader in Scandinavian countries, employees who want to help, will receive rapid training as healthcare professionals. The course will be free for attendees, who will be trained in providing information to patients and their families, sterilising equipment, and basic administrative duties.
